Some News on the Supercard site ! ->Updated

Well, lately I have been talking to ROMMAN, and it seems that they have some problems with the server. They are currently checking the situation.

Update:
cory1492 an active poster in this blog posted some screenshots on the current situation with the supercard site.

This first screenshot was taken by cory1492 when no proxies where used i.e a normal internet connection outsied china.

This second screenshot cory1492 took it when he was using a chinese proxy to access the supercard's site.

Further updates will be published to keep you informed. In the meantime if someone just encounters some new information just post in the comments here. Thanks!

  1. yes, when going through some proxies, it specifically said "server not configured to connect to this IP" but I still found a china proxy that eventually hooked up.

    DOS> ping www.supercard.cn
Pinging www.supercard.cn [218.16.124.114] with 32 bytes of data:

    Reply from 218.16.124.114: bytes=32 time=382ms TTL=112
    Reply from 218.16.124.114: bytes=32 time=416ms TTL=112
    Reply from 218.16.124.114: bytes=32 time=425ms TTL=112
    Reply from 218.16.124.114: bytes=32 time=402ms TTL=112

    Ping statistics for 218.16.124.114:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 382ms, Maximum = 425ms, Average = 406ms

the site is still there, DNS lookup is working from Canada/NA - but it is denying access from here. Not a rumor. See below for a screenshot of both standard connect and my proxied connect.

As I said before, _some_ chinese proxies are able to connect fine, and from the supercard forum there are still many new posts ongoing.

6:16 MST (gmt -7) here are my results:
    no proxy:

    china proxy

note: I removed 2 minor areas of my browser/windows screen - a sidebar and a page I have no wish to advertise but am in the middle of working in (could not close it, its about 1hour of wait/work on it)

  3. Who said you are a liar, I did not even mention anyhting, I said only rumours. Until now I did not have any proof to base what you told us, but now that you posted some data and screenshots I will be glad to update the information on this site.
And sorry if I was misunderstood but I did not mean that you are a liar, please accept my apologies.

  6. thats because the origional news post was edited, and my comments are in another thread explaining this previous to this one...

any rate, if there were smilies here you would have seen me ROTFLMFAO when I put that "practically call a guy a liar" - its funny how quickly things are not beleived because _you_ cant make it work (yes, I have done that myself and it has always been my loss for not giving someone enough of a chance)

any way, get fire fox, and a good extension for it called "SwitchProxy tool" - and go to the other thread on the supercard site being down for a link to a free proxy list.

Go through some China (and possibly UK ones are working now) proxies after you figure out the extension, and connect to the SuperCard site as normal. Expect the connections to be slow (not sure if China has broadband...), and if they time out try that proxy again - if it give DNS errors you can ping the site and put the IP instead of the www.supercard.cn (see up for what a ping looks like in DOS) - and if it still doesnt work, try another proxy.
