About NDS::Lite

As you all know by now the DS Lite is near production, and will soon be in our hands. The DS Lite is a reproduction(hope better) of the original NDS system. They decreased the size, the weight, and also repositioned some components. Although the gba cart is covered with a sort of door, we are hoping that will not interfere with the flashcarts we currently own.But that is not the real problem, surely something is going on from Nintendo to go around homebrew coders and/or rom pirates.

We will see what will happen, until then just see some pics of the DS Lite:

Wi-Fi updates

So the Wi-Fi milestones were all reached by Stephen. You can visit his site here Stephen's Wi-Fi Site.

Lately Nintendo also announced the VOIP capability for the DS console:

"News that forthcoming DS game Metroid Prime Hunters will have a voice over IP connection option was announced by NoA's Reggie Fils-Aime in at D.I.C.E. He said that VOIP was designed to facilitate "chatting" before and after battles in a lobby area, for example to decide on game settings, rather than "trash-talking" during play. Players can only use VOIP to talk to people on their Friends list.

A Nintendo of Europe spokesperson told GamesIndustry.biz: "We are hoping that the VOIP feature will also be included in the European version of Metroid Prime Hunters for Nintendo DS but various regulatory and contractual issues need to be cleared first." The game set for a March 20th release date in North America, and will launch in Europe on May 5th. " article by eurogamer.net

Now we all hope for a chatting software, something like ventrilo/Teamspeak that we currently use while playing FPS games to make our DS more alive.

BACK AGAIN!! With lots of updates.

Hi NDS users out there! I am sorry that I left the NDS scene for a while but I am currently alot busy with my computer project that I have to handle in two weeks time.

But well I am back again!! So obviously I will not be able to update the blog so frequently, but if someone wants to join in he's welcome.

As you see the nintendo ds is constantly in the middle of the mix. Everyday with new ideas and news. Nintendo is surely one of the top game and console producers, so I have to bow for respect towards the company.
